Autumn Comforts: Cozy Days, Self-Care, and a Little Excitement!
Hello, my lovely readers!
Can you believe we’re already drifting into autumn? I hope you’re finding little ways to enjoy the season — maybe a long walk through crunchy leaves, a favourite scarf making its first appearance, or just that first truly comforting cup of tea. There’s something so grounding about this time of year, isn’t there?
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love this season. There’s something magical about that first hint of chill in the air — the way the mornings feel crisp, the leaves start to turn, and suddenly a cozy jumper feels like the most comforting thing in the world. It’s the perfect time to slow down a bit and lean into all things warm and homey.
As the weather cools, I always start thinking about a bit of seasonal self-care — especially for my skin, hair, and nails. The change in the air can make everything a bit drier, can’t it? So I’ve been reaching for richer moisturizers, keeping my hair happy with a lovely nourishing oil, and trying to remember hand cream after every round of crocheting (still working on that last one!). It’s not about perfection — just giving ourselves a bit of kindness and attention as the seasons change.
Speaking of crocheting… oh, I’ve really fallen down the rabbit hole lately! I’ve been making the most beautiful crochet sweaters — soft yarns in autumn shades, cozy stitches that feel like a hug. There’s such joy in creating something with your own hands, especially when you can wrap yourself in it afterward. I swear, it’s my version of meditation these days.
And amidst all that yarn and tea, I’ve been keeping another little project under wraps — my new romance novel! It’s called Crimson Place: A Secret Love, and it’s the first book in a brand-new trilogy. I’m so excited for this story to finally make its way into the world. It’s full of heart, secrets, and that kind of love that takes you by surprise — the sort that’s tender, complicated, and completely worth the risk.
My publisher hasn’t revealed the cover just yet (I’m on tenterhooks waiting!), but as soon as I get to see it, you’ll be the first to know. It’s such a joy to be starting this new chapter — quite literally — and I can’t wait to share more soon.
So that’s where I’m at this autumn — slowing down, stitching away, and looking forward to sharing new stories. It’s a season for wrapping up, looking after ourselves, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures.
Here’s to cozy jumpers, glowing skin, and hearts that are always ready for a bit of romance.
How about you? Are you feeling that autumn mood too? I’d love to hear what you’re doing to nurture yourself this season — or if you’re a fellow yarn lover, tell me what you’re making! Pop a comment below or send me a message; I always adore hearing from you.
