Window View

Loving my home.

As I sit at my desk by my window, I look out of the window, and my view never ceases to amaze me. The vast expanse of the ocean a stone throw away is just stunning.
It makes it very easy fro me to write although I do get a little distracted by the many dogs that play in the small park opposite me.

What makes ME  smile?
The man in the wheelchair who throws a ball for his dog.
The different colors of the ocean.
Stormy seas with waves crashing over the wall.
The little robin who sits on my window sill looking at me.
The people I love.

There are so many things that make us smile that we don't always realize it.
Life is so busy, work, family, daily chores, they all take-up time that is always in very short supply. One thing I've learned over the years with doing yoga is that breathing and taking in the extremeness of what is around me. I never take for granted how incredibly lucky I am.

Winter Skin

The cold weather is refreshing but no good for my skin. At nearly 55 I need to keep on top of the changing season, and winter weather tends to dry out my skin.
Out comes my favorite oils, rosehip, argan, avocado and I add pure hyaluronic acid to the mix. Making your own creams and oils is amazingly inexpensive and work far better on your skin.

Oils will sink into the layers of skin, whereas a lot of creams will just lay on top and are of no use at all.
I do the same with my body oil, coconut is my favorite scent so I mix olive oil, coconut oil, and argon and I use this on my wet skin when I come out of the shower. Massage it in and then dry off with my towel. Great soft skin and probably cost me a few pounds to make.

I live in one of these houses.

This one was taken from my living room window
